Abstract

Hierarchically porous carbons with both micro- and mesopores synthesized by direct carbonization of assembled nanoparticles of ZIF-8 have been used as supports for Pd electrocatalysts for methanol electrooxidation for the first time. Pd/ZC-1000 catalyst exerts extremely high catalytic activity and electrochemical stability for methanol electrooxidation.
