Abstract

Novel carbon dots (CDs) sensitized TiO2 was synthesis for the water splitting. The resultant photoanode showed an activity of 5 times higher than that of TiO2 under the visible light irradiation, which results from the CDs have strong absorption ability under the visible light irradiation.
