Abstract
The quaternary alkaline-earth metal thiophosphate SrAgPS4has been synthesized. It possesses desirable properties as a preferred IR NLO material: a large band gap (2.97 eV), phase-matched intense second harmonic generation (SHG) (1.10AgGaS2), and moderate birefringence.
