Abstract

LiCa8[CrIVN3]2N2F is a nitridochromate fluoride featuring trigonal planar [CrN3]5− anions with tetravalent chromium and highly polar covalent Cr–N bonds. The compound exhibits diamagnetic and semiconducting behavior.
