Abstract
Hg(ii) ortho-cyano-aminothiophenolate (ocap) complexes [Hg{SC6H3XN(CN)}]n (X = H, Me, Cl, Br, NO2) have been prepared from dehydrogenation and C–S bond cleavage of 2-aminobenzothiazoles.
