Abstract
Bimetallic cooperativity provides a reason for the unexpected water stability of the tris(3-pyridyl)aluminate [EtAl(3-py)3]− (3-py = 3-pyridyl) (1), the first reported member of the anionic tris(3-pyridyl) ligand family.
