Abstract

Intramolecular Nicholas reactions have been shown to give dehydrobenzoxacin-3-one-Co2(CO)6 complexes. This allows the synthesis of (±)-heliannuol K methyl ether and the formal syntheses of (±)-heliannuol K, (±)-heliannuol A, and (−)-heliannuol L.
