Abstract

An unprecedented [Mn18(CO3)9] inorganic core and [Mn20] metal–organic periphery composed the largest homometallic single-valence {MnII38} aggregate with a four-shells matryoshka doll that displays a significant magnetocaloric effect (MCE).
