Abstract

An H-shaped bichromophoric PDI Gemini was prepared, which can self-assemble into 1D helices, 2D rectangular nanocrystals and pyramid-shaped parallelograms. The 2D nanostructures represent the first finding in the self-assembly of PDI-based molecules.
