Abstract

Ternary delafossite nitrides of the form ABN2 (for A = Cu, Ag, Au and B = V, Nb, Ta), which become dynamically stabilized at finite temperatures, exhibit mechanical, electronic, and optical properties making them suitable for application in solar energy conversion.
