Abstract

Borylative fusion of BSe and BTz containing donor–acceptor oligomers gives fused boracycles with a reduction in the energy of the LUMO by up to 0.65 eV. This leads to a red shift in emission of ca. 200 nm and the use of these materials for the fabrication of NIR OLEDs.
