Abstract

Commercial Al(OH)(BDC) (BDC: 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid) is a suitable heterogeneous catalyst for the silylation of benzylic and aliphatic alcohols by hexamethyldisilazane in toluene at room temperature.
