Abstract

Sulfonated graphitic carbon nitride (Sg-CN) is synthesized and deployed in the conversion of carbohydrates to furanics; enhanced acidity and stability of Sg-CN are exploited for converting carbohydrates to biologically important scaffolds and platform chemicals.
