Abstract

Fe–N–C graphitic spheres preparedvia in situpolymerization and functionalization possess both chemical functions (Fe–Nx-coordinated moieties) and hollow mesoporous structures, demonstrating exceptional activity and stability for the 4eoxygen reduction reaction in both acidic and alkaline media.
