Abstract

Non-equilibrium electrons in TiS2enhance optical nonlinearity, accompanied by a large modulation response (∼145%) and a short recovery time (∼768 fs). A femtosecond mode-locked laser with a pulse duration of ∼402 fs can be obtained employing TiS2-based optical switch.
