Abstract

The aim of this study was to characterize as wellas to identify trends and disparaties in regional household food availability. Representative samples of households amongst Portuguese regions (North, Centre, Lisbon area, Alentejo, Azores and Madeira) in 1990, 1995 and 2000 were accessed through three cross-sectional household budget surveys (HBS). Analysis of the dietary data collected was perfomed by using DAFNE rules and procedures in order to assess the average daily per person household food availability. (.)
