Abstract

According to several authorities, specific skill instruction leads to better skill performance on the part of the child. This study proposes to support these authorities and will attempt to refute the stated hypothesis. It is important to determine whether good instruction does more to enhance skill performance than does mere activity so as to support the premise that a good physical education program is valuable and necessary.
