Abstract

The present work was made to evaluate the influence that the plant production entity has on flower induction and buds differentiation, on fruit set percentage and, eventually, on summer fruit drops. The influence of the bud position on high or low part of canopy, on the same processes, is also studied. The obtained data showed, even in presence of a great variability of the considered cultivars, a highly significant negative correlation between production and following flower differentiation. Even the correlation between flower bud differentiation and fruit set has resulted significantly negative. The buds position, on high or low part of the canopy, has influenced the bud differentiation entity only in 5 cultivars, but it hasn’t influenced fruit set. The summer fruit drop wasn’t influenced by the examined factors.
