Abstract

Anode supported thin film electrolytes are nowadays the mostly used cells in the SOFC area. Unfortunately they are dramatically damaged if re-oxidation occurs in the anode chamber. In order to overcome this problem, Fiaxell Sàrl developed an anode supported half-cell, the 2R-Cell™, that provides robustness and reliability upon multiple thermo- and redox-cycles. Here we report on the performances and stability of 2R-Cell™ tested with different cathode materials: LSM, LSC in-situ and LSC-GDC. All presented measurements have been performed in the test rig developed by Fiaxell Sàrl and described in the following.
