The magnetization, neutron diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy studies have been carried out on Fe3−xCrxSi alloys with x<0.4. It has been shown, that chromium assumes a magnetic moment of the order of one Bohr magneton, ordered antiparallel with respect to the iron magnetic moment. This latter decreases linearly with chromium content. From hyperfine field distribution the probabilities of various local environments and site occupations by Cr were evaluated. The results are compared with neutron data.
