Abstract
An environmentally benign method for the three-component, one-pot synthesis of 2-nitroamines based on the heating at 60 °C for 5 hours of a solution of an aldehyde, an aromatic amine, and a nitroalkane in 20% water/methanol mixture without any added catalyst is described.
