In this paper we present the evaluation of the recombinant vaccine VACOLITM (Heber Biotec S.A., P.O. Box 6162, Havana, Cuba) in the control of E. coli infections in swine under production conditions in the Camaguey Province. A vaccination regime was evaluated in the swine farms of the province from May 1994 until August 1995. The parameters evaluated included morbility and mortality by E. coli in newborn and post-weaning piglets.
