Abstract

Significantly lower N-acetylaspartate (NAA)/creatinine and NAA/choline ratios in the precentral gyrus, midfrontal region, left caudate, occipital lobe, and other regions confirm that amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a multisystem disorder of the entire brain and is not restricted to the motor cortex.
