Abstract

From the aerial parts of Mentzelia cordifolia, 11 known compounds, seven phenolics and four iridoids have been identified. In addition, two new iridoids, i.e, mentzefoliol and glucosylmentzefoliol, have been isolated and characterized. Their structures have been elucidated mainly by means of spectroscopic data.
