A 61-year-old man presented with a 5-month history of dysphagia. A lateral cervical radiograph showed severe ante-rior osteophytosis from C2 to C7, which was confirmed on computed tomography (Fig. 1). Videofluoroscopic swallow-ing study with barium demonstrated indentation of the poste-rior pharyngeal wall by anterior spurs from C3 to C5 (Fig. 2). The anterior spurs at these levels were removed. After the op-eration, the dysphagia resolved. A repeat swallowing study confirmed resolution of the pharyngeal obstruction (Fig. 3).
