Abstract

Spinel LiMn2O4 was successfully prepd. at a low temp. rapidly by microwave heating method. LiMn2O4 fine particles can be easily prepd. in a few minutes by microwave heating of g-MnOOH powders in a LiOH + H2O2 soln. This prepn. process can provide an efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly way of prepn. of LiMn2O4. The spinel LiMn2O4 phase formation was confirmed by XRD, XPS, TG-DTA, and SEM
