Abstract

By changing the position of the homochiral alkoxy substituents of C3-symmetric 1,3,5-trialkynylbenzenes from the center to the periphery, the macroscopic chirality of the resulting aggregates (crystals or fibers), studied by various spectroscopic and microscopic techniques, was inverted, as confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
