Abstract

Results are presented on the hysteretic properties of heat-treated melt-spun Nd13Fe79B8. The influence on the coercive force of the following parameters has been investigated: the proportion of crystalline phases present in the as-quenched material, the heating rate up to the annealing temperature as well as the annealing time and temperature. The set of preparation and treatment parameters leads to a maximum coercive force of 2 T.
