Abstract

Fluorine compounds of tellurium, iodine, and xenon are investigated with the use of the Voronoi-Dirichlet polyhedra (VDPs), The atomic influence regions of Te. I, and Xe have constant values to an accuracy of the structural experiment at the given oxidation number. The stereochemistry of Te(IV), I(V), and Xe(VI) complexes containing a stereoactive electron pair are examined. Some of the VDP parameters are shown to regularly vary in the specified series of complexes and can act as the measure of distortion of the atom coordination sphere.
