Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) are attracting an increasing attention because of their modest cost, low environmental impact, ease of synthesis and modification. Few studies have focused on the noise analysis of the complete device. We report about an embedded low frequency noise system for the characterization of the DSSCs under different illumination conditions. Preliminary results in dark conditions are compared with a reference cell consisting of two electrode-electrolyte interfaces (symmetric cell). Regard to the complete devices, degraded cells show more than one order of power spectral density (PSD) magnitude and different shape in relation to fresh devices. The latter are characterized by a strong wavelength excitation dependence both in magnitude and in slope of the excess noise.
