Abstract

Cobalt ferrite and magnetite nanoparticles were obtained by “the complexation method” belonging to soft chemistry, in which cholic acid sodium salt acts as complexation agent. The precursors were characterized by IR, UV–vis spectra and magnetic measurements. X-ray diffraction spectra and transmission electron microscopy proved the nanocrystalline structure of the spinelic ferrites.
