Abstract

Mine refuge chamber is a confined space. The temperature and relative humidity increase because of the heat and moisture from skin of the trapped personswhich will endanger the lives.Consequentlyrefrigeration system is a key component of the life support in the mine refuge chamber.A stainless steel heat exchanger adapt to opening carbon dioxide refrigeration system was designed. When the heat power is 1 500 Wthe temperaturerelative humidity of the analog chamber are 30.3 77.5%respectively.Compared to copper heat exchangerstainless steel heat exchanger is better according to the heat transfer efficiencysafety performance and material costs.
