Abstract

Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research, Permoserstrasse 15, 04318, Leipzig, Germany For investigations of microphysical vertically resolved properties, Raman lidar systems that provide extinction coefficients at two wavelengths and backscatter coefficients at three wavelengths, so called 3+2 Raman lidars, are indispensable. In this work we present the first results of the aerosol microphysical profiles retrieved at the EARLINET Granada station. An event characterized by the presence of a large load of fine particles is analyzed. The vertical profiles of microphysical properties retrieved from Raman lidar present results that are coherent with retrievals from passive remote sensing system (sun-photometer) operated at the same station.
