Rainwater and dust deposition samples were analyzed from two stations, one in the center of Athens and the other in the rural area, Aliartos (Viotias). The concentrations of Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, Ni, Mn, Al and Fe have been determined with flameless atomic absorption spectrometry. The regression coefficients and the metal to zinc ratio were calculated in order to reveal common sources. Wind direction data were also used to identify their possible emission origin.
