Abstract

This paper proposes a new circuit implementation of low-voltage filters. The work exploits the instantaneous companding and threshold voltage control capabilities of multiple-input floating-gate MOSFETs to achieve wide input signal swings with low supply voltage. To demonstrate the viability of the approach, a 1.5V lowpass/band-pass second order filter for low frequency applications was designed. A working Si prototype has been obtained meeting specifications.
