Abstract

A theoretical basis is presented of the methodology of a fracture morphology description of a material using a mono- and multifractal analysis of a profile line. Much greater abilities of a multifractal description are shown. A simultaneous multifractal evaluation of a profile is proposed based on a real and simulated image analysis method as an idea leading to the usage of stereometric files of a fracture surface examined with a profilographometer.
