Abstract

The cluster (η5-C5H5)Fe3Co(CO)11(μ4-S) was synthesized by stirring a solution of HFe2Co(CO)9(μ3-S) and (η5-C5H5)Fe(CO)2Cl in THF. It was characterized by elemental analyses, IR and 1H/13C NMR. The possible reaction mechanism is discussed and the structure was determined by X-ray diffraction.
