Abstract

Fromthe reaction of AgC=C'Bu with 9-hydroxy-9-fluorenecarboxylic acid (HL) and AgCF3CO2, we have isolated a newtype of organosilver(I) coordination polymeric chain, namely {[Ag14(C=C'Bu)8(L)2(CF3CO2)4].2CH3OH}n, which contains centrosymmetric [Ag14(C=C'Bu)8(CF3CO2)2]4+ cluster segments bridged by pairs of L and trifluoroacetate ligands.
