Abstract

Commercial interferon-gamma release assays (IGRAs), T.SPOT.TB and QuantiFERON TB Gold "In tube", were compared with tuberculin skin test for detection of tuberculosis (TB) infection in immune-compromised children in a low prevalence country. IGRAs are of limited usefulness in this study setting due to high rates of discordant and indeterminate results.
