Abstract

Zirconacyclopentadienes reacted with 1,2-bis(bromomethyl)benzene and 1,8-bis(bromomethyl)naphthalene in the presence of a catalytic amount of CuCl (10 mol %) to afford highly substituted eight-membered and nine-membered ring compounds in high yields, respectively.
