Abstract

This review discusses the efforts aimed at setting up methodologies for recovering and reuse of chiral sales ligands. Coverage is on the literature up to the beginning of 2006 with special emphasis on the most recent developments. Topics discussed include reusable chiral salen complexes operating as homogeneous catalysts, reusable chiral salen complexes supported on inorganic solids as heterogeneous catalysts, reusable chiral salen complexes supported on carbon as heterogeneous catalysts, reusable chiral salen complexes anchored on organic polymers as heterogeneous catalysts and reusable hybrid chiral metallosen-silica materials as heterogeneous catalysts.
