The experimental study of a kite-shaped micro-laser (disc with the specific symmetrical deformation) is presented. Investigation on the coexistence of different mode types together with experimental verification of the applicability of certain methods of numerical calculations was done. A good match is shown between calculated and experimentally obtained emission diagrams of whispering gallery-like modes.
