Abstract

A novel hierarchical tubular structure constructed by carbon-coated α-Fe2O3 nanorods is synthesized by template-engaged redox etching using MnO2 nanorod templates, followed by annealing and carbon nanocoating. When evaluated as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries, the hierarchical tubular structure exhibits excellent lithium storage properties due to its advantageous structural features.
