Abstract

A dinuclear Ni(II)–Zn(II) complex of 2-bis-(aminoethyl)-aminomethylphenol (L) was prepared by mixing the homo-dinuclear complexes of Ni(II) and Zn(II). The mixed hetero-dinuclear complex was characterized by X-ray analysis. Crystal data for the compound [NiZn(H-1L)2(H2O)2][ClO4]2 revealed that it is monoclinic; space group P21/n with a=20.137(2) Å, b=9.480(1) Å, c=15.934(1) Å, β=100.45(1)°, V=2991.3(5) Å3, Z=4, R=0.094.
