Abstract

In thiswork,dandelion-likeNiCo2O4 mesoporous microsphereswereuniformlyassembledfromslimnanowiresviaalarge-scaleandtemplate free method.TheBrunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET)surfaceareaofNiCo2O4 microspheres wasdeterminedtobeabout35.2m2 g1 with dominant pore diameterof10.9nmandnarrowsizedistributionof8–20 nm.Furthermore,theelectrochemicalpropertiesofNiCo2O4 microspheres were evaluated bycyclevoltammetric(CV)andgalvanostaticcharge–discharge (GCD)measurements.TheresultsdemonstratedthattheNiCo2O4 microspheres exhibitedhighspecific capacitance(372Fg1 at 1Ag1), goodratecapability,andexcellentcyclingstability(88.3%retention after 2000cycles).Inprinciple,thissyntheticapproachcouldbeextendedforthefabricationofothermicrostructurematerialsforpromising electrode candidatesinenergystoragedevices.
