Abstract

A new thiadiazole dioxide-type bridging ligand with the ability to form stable anionic radicals and the ability to chelate two metal centers in a symmetric fashion has been designed, synthesized, and fully characterized. Its paramagnetic potassium salt and an example of a Cu^{II} coordination chain were also obtained.
