RESUMEN En este articulo se presentan los primeros resultados del ensaye de ocho trabes acarteladas de concreto reforzado sometidas a carga estática. Se tiene evidencia que este tipo de elementos son utilizados en estructuras de ocupación estándar, aún cuando no existen recomendaciones para su diseño en los códigos de construcción vigentes en México y en otras partes del mundo. Los primeros resultados indican que el comportamiento ante fuerza cortante de estos elementos varía respecto al de las trabes de concreto reforzado de sección constante. ABSTRACT In this paper, the first results of the testing of eight reinforced concrete (RC) haunched beams subjected to static loads is presented. There is evidence that these structural elements are used in standard structures, even though there are not recommendations available for their design in building codes (Mexico and worldwide). The analysis of the first experimental results suggest that the shear behavior of RC haunched beams under static loading is different from the one observed in prismatic beams.
