Abstract

Chiroptera Order has an important role in the maintenance of environmental units through pollination and seed dispersal. This study we’ve analyzed the bat community organization in a regenerating area in Bandeirantes, MS, Brazil. We’ve performed two monthly collections between February and July along 2011. The specimens were captured with Cerrado fragments. We've used four capture sites totaling 9504 effort of h.m² in this area. We've registered 161 specimens from seven species belonging to two families (Phyllostomidae: Artibeus lituratus, Artibeus planirostris, Carollia erspicillata, Glossophaga soricina, Platyrrhinus lineatus e Sturnira lilium; Molossidae: Molossops temminckii). The C. perspicillata and G. soricina were found using the farm edification as refuge. the capture of a great number of Phyllostomidae bats family is interesting because this area is in the process of regeneration. Besides, there is a strong correlation between this family and the variety of vegetable species found. Key words: Phyllostomidae; refuge. conservation.
