Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) Fishing for β-glucose: Three dialdehydic and two triamino components quantitatively self-assemble into a pyrrolic cage receptor that effectively discriminates D-glucopyranosides among various monosaccharides and recognizes the β anomer exclusively.
