Abstract

The Cooper-pair tunneling in junctions of singlet quantum Hall (SQH) states and superconductors (SC) was investigated. The information regarding the spin polarization and the filling factor of the state was extracted using the SQH/SC junctions. The formalism for FQH edge states, the SC degrees of freedom and tunneling were also described. It was observed that the low energy physics of the junctions was governed by a quantum entangled fixed point (QEFP), which is characterized by a boundary condition relating the phases of the spin channels of the spin singlet functional quantum Hall (FQH) fluids and the SH into a singlet state.
